The goal is to win by Kaya, Orzhov Usurper
's -5 ability. That's why a lot of the deck is build around control with exile effets like Vraska's Contempt
, Despark
and Cry of the Carnarium
.
But the best combination of course is Ashiok, Dream Render
. If you get to -1 twice you most likely already are ready to win once you get Kaya, Orzhov Usurper to 5 loyalty. She is also nice to get back life even if you can't kill the opponent.
Besides the exile combo this deck also quite nicely wins with Thief of Sanity
or Enter the God-Eternals
.
Narset, Parter of Veils
is a nice additon in order to get your crucial cards and also deals with other control decks because of her passive effect.
Because our main decks has problems to deal with planeswalkers the sideboard mostly deals with this issue while also adding some stuff for other matchups.
I quite like the deck. It's something different and even if it's not T1 I can get a win against every T1 deck even without the "combo".
