WB - Gaining Life deck!
This deck mainly works around having the classic Ajani's Pridemate
and Co. (Gideon's Company
& Bloodthirsty Aerialist
) out on the board. However, you first need to establish your lifelink creatures in place so should Ajani's Pridemate and Co. be targeted by debuffs. Having Impassioned Orator
and Soulmender
is a great start before casting the trio. Soulmender is great should the enemy have creatures on their board and you don't want to lose the source of life gaining. Once you have your combo in place, focus on getting Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord
first to get more life gain going when attacking to really utilize Ajani, Strength of the Pride
's destroy all opponent's creatures and artifacts.
Ashiok, Dream Render
is here to really somewhat counter certain control decks that involve serching their libraries and/or graveyards.
On another note, Kaya's Ghostform
is helpful should your trio be targeted by instants or enchanments -- sort of a failsafe. Mortify
and Pacifism
are there to help you control your opponent.
