Learn more Download For WindowsYou want goblins? Too lazy to cast lightning? Want to just throw your minons at your enemy until they are tripping over the corpses like a true mob-boss does? Well you came to the right place.
This low cost goblin deck builds goblins then up jams them down your enemies throat. Using painfull early boys like Fanatical Firebrand and Goblin Banneret who can punch way above their weight. Then ending with running down what ever is in their way by raising your banner and blasting your trumpet with Trumpet Blast and Vanquisher's Banner and with the deck-wide power of Goblin Trashmaster and Siege-Gang Commander
PROS:
Super fast
Cheap creatures
Brain dead easy to play
Sticks the middle finger control decks (They cant stop everything!)
Can very easily run with early leads
Blocking non trample is a breaze
CONS:
Walls are your worst enemy
Cheap, multi-target spells are the bane of your exsistance
Has a bad time getting back if behind
No flying protection
Tactics:
Though this deck is easy to play there are a few things that need to be taken note
Do not be afaid to sacrifice something to gain a advantage. Leave a goblin or two can stop alot of damage from a counter attack. Also things like Dark-Dweller Oracle, Skirk Prospector and Goblin Trashmaster can get you out a sticky situation for just one or more of your little dudes.
Though you will be attacking alot, sometimes not attacking and waiting for a better piece to come onto the board is may be better then just blidly swinging.
Card specific notes:
If you are blocking with Fanatical Firebrand and it isnt going to kill what it is blocking then you can sacrifice it to slap something (Or someone) for 1 damage or for some mana with a Skirk Prospector
This may not entierly be useful all the time but later on it can get you out of alot of tight spots with some luck on your side. Concider it as normal goblin foder unless you really need the extra cards to play. Remeber it isnt like drawing as the card can no longer be play after the turn is over. If you get a land, it can be played if you havn't played one this turn which can be help if you are running dry on land.
He can hit anythig with this; Creatures, players, plainswalkers, heck even your own guys. Sometimes, if the enemy is low and you have the land, you can just kill off your own army to just burn the other player in the face for a cheeky win.
He can scarifice himself for the mana in an emergancy. If something is going to die without killing something or doing damage and sacrifice it. It is free and can really make someone question what you are doing even if you have nothing up your sleave. Keep this in mind for Goblin Trashmaster, Dark-Dweller Oracle and Siege-Gang Commander
Mentor is the hardest thing to understand in the deck. (even then it isnt that hard) Think about it as the thing with mentor is helping someone else to get better by fighting. Goblin Banneret isnt going to do much mentoring without some mana pumped into him. Thats is why he has that ablity. Legion Warboss can mentor the goblin can he creates at the start of combat. Finally Legion Warboss can mentor Goblin Banneret to help him to mentor more goblins
