Description

It became a quest to make a competitive(ish) deck around Velomachus Lorehold. This is my third deck around that card. 

And probably the best one. I made a side deck for best of 3. I believe this deck works best in Bo3, but i mostly play Bo1.

I hard cast Velomachus Lorehold of i play Indomitable Creativity to find him. Turn 4 the earliest. 3 main ways to sacifice artifact or creature fo Indomitable Creativity: Dwarven Mine, Seize the Spoils or Forging the Tyrite Sword.

The main targets with Velomachus' ability are Single Combat and Lorehold Command. Lorehold is a versatile card that provides everything you need. Single Combat shuts down planewalker decks and aggro decks. In a way Single Combat gives you an extra turn... Cause a lot of decks can't do anything if they cannot play creatures or planewalkers.

Response//Resurgence is an other way to get a semi second turn. You can attack twice with Velomachus and is ability activates also 2 times. Be careful Response//Resurgence timing is off when you cast it with Velomachus' ability, or in other words, it doesn't work! You can use Resurgence the earliest on turn 5. It won me many games, nobody expects it. Also Response is useful against creature decks. 

Teferi's Protection is a third way that kinda gives you an extra turn. Sometimes i cast it with Velomachus ability if it feels right and/or when i have a Resurgence in hand for next turn. Then that turn i don't do damage but the turn afterwards i can play Resurgence and do a lot more. 

I tried to fit in Chance of Glory, but it didn't work.

Realy fun deck, i'm diamond 1 for now, but if i don't face those pesky counterspell/conrol decks, i should reach mythic soon. God i hate counterspell decks, in my opinion Wizards of the coast should create a new format where decks can only include maximum 4 counter spells. I believe that way the new format would be the most popular one after a while... Just outing my frustrations...
