So the goal is to get off the ult asap - ideally the very turn you play Tezzeret, or the turn after at the latest. Profilerate helps with that, and so do dorks like Stonework Packbeast
and Prismite
, which due to Tezz's passive produce mana each turn. With the ult (and ideally Paradox Engine
) you draw until you deck yourself for the Thoracle or Jace win.
It's a bit like the common Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain
build, and people get salty if they can't interact with artifacts -- but it's actually a pretty nice build as it's hardly running counterspells or time warps.
