I FINALLY DID IT. This month has been fun. Outside of my limitations in the quality of my videos and equipment ( which I will be talking to my nephew about ) , I made my goal this week, make a unique, VIABLE deck for the mythic ladder......with Proffesor Onyx. I will tell you its been a long weekend of playtesting so many variations of BG control...midrange...mono black .....all with Onyx....all with a win rate of 45% at best. Im kind of sad because I liked the black/green decklist i posted on friday and playtested for two days, but does NOT work at this meta on the mythic ladder. Then while shopping for a washer and dryer this afternoon I was looking through cards and trying to find where this card could fit AND BE FUN. I was thinking I may try a blue/black control and saw a card I had never seen before in unbreakable bond , while looking through blue cards and seeing Tefari and it clicked. Im sure I drove my wife crazy because i was texting her cards in the store to have when I got back home. I have spent the last 8 hours trying to put this together and playtesting it....but it works....and its FUN. Sure you can win with your generic jund sacrafice or dimir rogue, but the feeling of pounding someones face with Velomachus Lorehold in blue/black control deck is priceless......video included of the most fun with.....at about 65% win rate in mythic rate now with it
