What does it do?
Ramps into Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God
Nissa, Who Shakes and/or Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
using cards like Growth Spiral
, Uro, Titan, and Cultivate. We're also able to develop lands for Bolas quite easily thanks to Cultivate
, on top of running 8 Triomes. The deck's meant to have proactive, reactive cards; meaning that we try to play things that can answer the boardstate as well as win the game if they go unanswered. Originally we had 3 copies of Eliminate
instead of the Muderous Riders. I opted into -3 Eliminate +2 Rider and +1 land in order to have consistency on ramp. The rider also hits opposing Nissa's and can handle pesky creatures like Questing Beast
. The lifelink on rider also gives us more leveage against aggro as well! Casualties of War
almost made the cut, but I decided against it because it's not proactive. Everything else in our deck pretty much is.
