SpellSpear MonoRed
This is a simple change to the standard MonoRed by adding one of the best Uncommons from MoM.
This card is simply amazing and since the blue is phyrexian works perfect in a MonoRed Shell.
The quick assualt troops are the following:
- Monastery Swiftspear
- standard first turn prowess attacker - Phoenix Chick - in the air first turn attacker
- Bloodthirsty Adversary - get back some of your spells or a hasty attacker
- Feldon, Ronom Excavator - reload and find your SpellSpear
The support cards:
- Lizard Blades - can really make your spellspears sting
- Hexgold Halberd - extra body and can help push damage from your other attackers, triggers prowess
- Bitter Reunion - can get you that needed land or find your SpellSpear and help later make the non-hasty boys hasty.
- Reckless Impulse - Get your lands and find your SpellSpear.
Standard MonoRed Good Stuff:
The plan is to get that SpellSpear on the board and transform him. Then power him up with a few spells and attack. The Trample, double prowess is so good.
There is a battle that might work in here as well, but I was afraid it might distract from attacking face! It would trigger prowess and act as a faithless looting and flip into a decent creature but like I said feel more like a midrange card.
