There's a lot of pewpew decks out there on ladder right now. Kumano's, Okiba Reckoner Raids, Weenie decks, 1/1 token decks, or little kitty cats...you know the drill. I wanted to chuck 10 damage fireballs at their face, and this deck scratches that itch.
If Xorn sticks to the board, you can draw cards pretty much all day, while building treasure for Goldspan Dragon to eventually hit the board and Explosive Singularity chucking can ensue.
Burn Down the House, Baleful Mastery, Spikefield Hazard, Path of Peril, and Shatterskull Smashing do a pretty good job of keeping the board tidy.
The spells line up to try to get max efficiency from Invoke Calamity. Seize the Spoils/Path of Peril, Unexpected Windfall or Baleful Mastery/Deadly Dispute, Invoke Despair or Burn Down the House/Spikefield Hazard all add up to 6 mana. Obviously you can use it to cast any combination of two spells, or just use it for one in a pinch. The card's pretty flexible.
Tried Fable of the Mirror-Breaker // Reflection of Kiki-Jiki and Atsushi, the Blazing Sky but had limited success with them. Since we have so many instants/sorceries Professor Onyx could potentially work to get value out of late game spikefield's or crazy draw turns. Will probably cut the Despairs and try her at some point.
Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance is sneaky good and will probably add another. The tokens reduce the casting cost of singularity by two. If you have a Shambling Ghast out on the board as well that's a seven mana Singularity.
If you want to watch the opponent, and all his critters, burn then give this a try! It'll put a smile on your face.
Enjoy!
