Description

This deck's superstar is Blade Historianimage as the title suggests, with Heliod, Sun-Crownedimage a close second.

A perfect draw on the play could look like this -

Turn 1 Selfless Saviorimage
Turn 2 Daxos, Blessed by the Sunimage
Turn 3 Heliod, Sun-Crownedimage
Turn 4 Blade Historianimage

Turn 1 and 2 aren't always super crucial because if you have Heliod on Turn 3 and the Historian on Turn 4, the Historian will activate Heliod all by himself which will get in for at least 10 if you have nothing else on board. That said, it's really nice to have the Savior or Life's Bounty to protect your Historian; Heliod is indestructable, so you usually don't have to worry about him. What it boils down to is that if you've done well on the previous turns, it is simply game over when Blade Historianimage drops on Turn 4.

Don't have Heliod or Historian in your starting hand? Shuffler got you down? No worries.

Need to go big? Add +1/+1 counters with Heliod, Sun-Crownedimage every time you gain a life and with Luminarch Aspirantimage every combat on your turn.

Need life? Aside from our other Lifelink cards, Daxos, Blessed by the Sunimage give us 1 life every time a creature dies or enters the battlefield and Linden, the Steadfast Queenimage gives us 1 life for each attacking white creature. Combine that with going big and you have a deadly board, very quickly.

Once you have gained at least 27 life, the icing on the cake is Speaker of the Heavensimage churning out 4/4 Angels at sorcery speed each turn into perpetuity.

Need to go wider? We already do pretty well with our 12 one drops, but we can also create 1/1 tokens with Castle Ardenvaleimage as available land permits.

Facing removal decks or stuck on 3 lands? Don't fret. During each of your turns, Lurrus of the Dream-Denimage allows you to cast one permanent spell with CMC 2 or less from your graveyard. This is also why Elite Spellbinderimage is included. It can help get around those annoyances that keep you from achieving your Turn 4 goal. With those 2, getting and keeping Heliod and Historian online is a cinch!

Games are typically pretty quick, but with all the triggers, I've had some games last 30 minutes or more; if you don't get frustrated and play smart, you can win mid range games and longer.

I've grinded to Mythic with this deck and so can you! Good luck out there!
