Description

An old deck I recently updated.
It's actually called Hydrate Ramp (Hydrate meaning Hydra + Mutate) on my own account, but I found people only view decks with very descriptive deck names.

Hydras combo really well with mutate, because it turns a 0/0 creature with +1/+1 counters into a stronger creature with those counters on it.
As mutate is a spell that targets your own creature, it activates Gargos, Vicious Watcherimage's triggered ability.

Between Gemrazerimage, Voracious Hydraimage, Gargos, Vicious Watcherimage and Ram Throughimage I usually find myself having plenty removal options available.

Hydroid Krasisimage should provide enough survivability against aggro and provide enough card draw to stand a chance against control decks.
I've also beat some aggro decks by simply surviving on the lifegain from Foodimage tokens.
Lead the Stampedeimage also provides some welcome card draw to keep you from running out of steam.

Brokkos, Apex of Foreverimage is in there to turn lategame mana dorks into 6/6 tramplers, I'm not entirely sure about this one, as I usually have better options.
It's mostly a desperation play or a way to break a stalemate. I imagine it's a pain for Ugin, the Spirit Dragonimage players to have to deal with a recurring 6 mana creature.

You could splash a mountain and/or swamp to hardcast the multicolor mutate creatures, but I prefer having a lot of forests so I can consistently play Castle Garenbrigimage untapped.

As I've been playing this deck for quite a while already, I probably won't update it as much as most my decks.

About Thijs

All my decks are made from scratch by me.

Usually I upload decks shortly after making them, so I tend to edit them after uploading.

Most of the time I play in platinum on Arena, using mostly decks I uploaded here.

I dislike playing meta decks, especially ones with little interactivity.

Any suggestions or criticism about my decks are appreciated.
