Description

Yo riff-raff! This is my Selesnya Token, whis is rea-

"Dude, this list is pretty identica-"
I'm gonna stop u right there, young boy! (or girl)

Yes, this list IS very similar to others on the web buuuuuuuut it comes whit a (I hope) exhaustive guide included in the package :D
I'm playing this deck since a few days but after 4 competitive constructed always completed with 5 win and even knowing that this isn't an exceptional result for the pro, I want to share my experience whit this list, hope u enjoy and find it a bit useful
Enough chatting! Chop, chop!

DECK GUIDE
Ok, maybe u are already good at playing tokens but  imho is not intuitive as it seems. I'll going through every single card and try to explain synergies and  tactics.

Flower//Flourish

Don't understimate this card, becaus often will be our finisher. Of course,  in the opening hand u MUST play this card for fetching a land (it also shuffle our deck and it can be very useful when we waste something good whit scrying after mulligan) but don't waste the others and keep it even if u have only  3 or 4 lands. We want as many lands as we can to pump our March, it's true BUT often is better to have less tokens but with the chance to buff  them.

Legion's  Landing

Our first drop. This card is top notch not only because we can almost usually flip it on turn 3 but we also obtain an extra land a play a cc5 on turn 4 (Trostani, Lyra, Vivien) which is amazingly good and close the game veeeeeeeery quickly. If u want u can play only 3 of them, then again I think this card is an amazing opening and we want it in our opening hand at any cost

image

She is our best friend.  Emmara can easily make 2 or 3 token out of nothing, is exceptional for convoke and can bait Shock, Lightning Strike, other removal and even counters but don't be afraid because she is also super-expandable! (Awkward friendship, I know).  She's an amazing 2 drop BUT if u have her in your opening hand with  Migration and Legion's Landing (we play  4 of each so is very far from being impossible) never play Emmara on t2, instead play Migration, than on turn 3 attack (don't mind any blockers), flip Legion's Landing, than play Emmara. If u have also the Loxodon don't attack on t3 but play Emmara first, than the Venerated and u will have on the board a 4/4, a 3/3, three 2/2 and a 1/1 = 14 damage on board on turn 3, not bad at all!

image

Don't be afraid to play it on t2 for two tokens, this little "guys" can help to flip LL, chump block and help our big friend Loxodon to come early (pun intended) on the board. In late game they can be exceptional due tothe kicker to pump up our MoM

image

No explanation is necessary, Benalia is the best 3 drop in the game in standard if u are playing white and it fits amazingly well on tokens, thanks to he Vigilance of the Knights we can attack and then use Convoke, terrific!

image

This card is very flexible and 1x is good in any match up. She can get rid off  big threats like Benalia, Eldest Reborn, Search of Azcanta and many others. The 4 life isn't great if u are not facing aggro decks (but amazing if u ARE facing them) and the buff is also useful if u trying to be more aggressive. Mind also that she's a knight and can be buffed by the third step of Benalia

image

THIS. IS. NUTS. MoM is Our trump (ugh!) card and our very win condition. Despite this, u can play it for 3 or 4 token without thinking too much about it (a couple of time I played MoM even for only 1 token and still win!) This card is extraordinary also against control, u can play it on the end of the turn and force the oppo to tap all of his/her  mana and slam a big threath on your turn. NOTE: if u are facing izzet u can also play it on your turn if the opponent is tapped out, cuz they don't have any AOE but a lot of counters

image

One of the best removal of the standard. probably only worse than  Trophy (duh!) Often you will able to play Tribunal on t2 and after turn3 it's basically a 0 cost removal

image

I'm in love with her. U want her on your board basically always.  In almost every match up she will shine. Having hexproof for our board is great but she even  give US hexproof and this means no reach and no discarding effects or mean stuff like Eldest Reborn . She can also buff our entire board and make us steal the game

image

Like Benalia, Lyra  is in no need of explanation. If we can menage to put it on turn 4 like said before is almost an auto win and with Shalai is THE bomb. Having so many big threats is a nightmare against control, sooner or later one piece will stay on the board and make us win

image

Venerated "Buff Everything" Loxodon is a great friend. Usually playable on turn 3 and even alone he can be super annoying but of course playing him on an empty board is super sad
