Learn more Download For WindowsA probably janky attempt at WB sac.
Idea is for cards that replace themselves on death like Hunted Witness and Ministrant of Obligation to wall off the opponent and set up for plays later on. Tithe Taker pulls double duty by replacing itself and being annoying/slowing down control opponents.
The hope is to set up big value plays with creatures that reward you for killing your own stuff like Midnight Reaper, Priest of Forgotten Gods, and Teysa Karlov in order to establish a dominating presence using a mostly one-sided Kaya's Wrath (as our things come back) and buffing up our tokens with enchantments like Ethereal Absolution and Divine Visitation. The priest in particular is noteworthy for the potential for huge value plays and the ability to ramp into early enchantments - although at a hefty cost!
I'm thinking to not run aristocrat cards like Pitiless Pontiff as they are better for a faster strategy. Instead I have a Revival // Revenge to keep the value train going or possibly create a huge late game life swing. Potentially Dead Revels is better as it gives less upfront value (the cards go to your hand) but you do eventually get double the value.
Sideboard includes replacements vs. control where our wraths and removal are no longer helpful, some extra removal, and plaguecrafters to use against decks that have few creatures but run planeswalkers.
It'll be interesting to see what sort of deck in the WB sac archetype wins out!
