Description

This deck is very similar to the old Simic Flash deck, but with three key additions:

  • Portal of Sanctury lets you not only evade removal spells or chump block without dying, but it synergizes with Frilled Mystic to create a recurring counterspell and Brazen Borrower to create a recurring removal.
  • Wildborn Preserver lets you maximize the value of your mana, particularly with Wilderness Reclamation on the field. Instead of floating mana after playing a minion on your turn, you just sink it into the preserver to get counters, and then do the same during your opponent's turn.
  • Oko, Thief of Crowns lets you cripple a large minion (e.g. Drakuseth), neutralize a minion with a powerful ability (e.g. prevent Kefnet from reviving itself), or steal a minion at minimal cost, as you can bounce your own minion back to your hand with Brazen Borrower after exchanging it.

Despite these additions, the deck plays the same as always--stick some minions at instant speed, counter their spells while bouncing their threats, and gradually beat them down with Nightpack Ambushers.
