Learn more Download For WindowsA new take on control featuring Kaldheim's Cosima, God of the Voyage and Narfi, Betrayer King as win cons and value engines. The deck functions on the idea of removing everything that walks or moves from the opponent with 16x removal spells, and Sea Gate Stormcaller to copy them and kill more things. Along with Mire Triton as a death touch body to make our opponents attacking us awkward and to hopefully mill a king Nafri to bring back on 3 to either start chipping the opponent down if they are a fellow control player or to hopefully block and trade off with things. We also have Village Rites to sacrafice king Nafri because we can bring him back again and again or to play stormcaller and than copy the village rites to draw by only sacraficing just the stormcaller. The we have King Narfi's Betrayal which can also help mill a King Nafri and to just get a little card advantage by exiling creatures for us to play which is also a little reason why we run 16 creatures.
Cards like Tymaret Calls the Dead did not make the cut because creating 1 or 2 zombie tokens isn't as good in my opinion than getting to cards. And we have one Egon, God of Death because we are mostly playing it for the throne of death as way to generate more cards and use our extra creatures milled with our various means of milling them. Also Egon can come down sometimes and then just block everything, but sometimes egon himself can just run away with the game. And even though the deck is built around King Nafri quite a bit having multiples is really bad because when he dies you can just bring him back without any cost besides mana so having multiples does nothing unless the one that died died from exile. And the Jegantha the wellspring is because i am a maniac and threw it in there because the deck already fit the requirment and there is no reason not to run it, the only time it would be useful though is againts kroxa titan of deaths hunger or other discard effects as fodder. And if you do that then you might actually cast Jegantha by casting kings betrayel and exiling it to cast.
Also one thing to remember is if you do play Egon god of death as Egon it is not a choice to exile you have to so he will exile that King Nafri if they kill it and you don't have other cards in the graveyard. And if you are going to play the deck it is open to small meta adjustments, like with mono white on the rise Extinction Event is good againts that so maybe running a couple copies of that would be useful, and so is rakdos so maybe a Cling to Dust, but that would only be if you are running into a lot of those decks. But if do play this deck make sure to tell me how it went in the comments and remember to like or share the deck.
