Death Baron Standard Deck
This mono-black standard deck built around Death Baron
. The idea is to quickly fill your boards with bunch of skeletons and zombies, then buff them with +1/+1 and deathtouch to overwhelm your opponent to their demise. For removal I use Murder
, Vraska's Contempt
, and Ravenous Chupacabra
. Soft removal cards Dead Weight
to provide you board advantage early game. Midnight Reaper
can provide a bit of drawing power. Barrier of Bones
to give you some virtual card advantage.
Your opponents will hunt your Death Baron, therefore Gravedigger
can help you in bringing them back. Rise from the Grave
may also be used (against your opponent too! Just be careful of Disperse
). There's nothing you can do if the opponent cast Hieromancer's Cage
on your Death Baron.
Reassembling Skeleton
combined with Open the Graves
can provide you with unlimited supply of zombies!
I use Liliana, the Necromancer
she can bring back your Death Baron again, and slap your opponent with -2. But Liliana, Untouched by Death
is also not bad since she costs 1 mana less, can bring back your dead zombies and can also be used to remove some threats.
Even though your deathtouched Barrier of Bones and your zombies army can destroy Gigantosaurus
this deck is rather weak against anything that flies.
