I used to play a lot of "Reveal" Nilfgaard in Gwent, before switching to MTGA. I really love this archetype, the way you "control" by interacting directly with the opponent's hand rather than killing/debuffing, etc.
In MTGA, before the wipe i really enjoyed a mono-black discard deck that somewhat emulated the "Nilfgaard" feel. It revolved around Fell Specter and Torment of Scarabs, together with Divest/Duress/Doomfall. Now that Doomfall and Torment of Scarabs are gone, this deck doesn't seem possible to sustain in pure black, even with the new discard cards (they seem too weak to use).
So i decided to try and build around the suggested flavour of Black/Blue, making a kind of control deck, but one that is not based around disallow and counter spells.
Sadly, the discard itself can no longer be a win condition on it's own because of the rotation, but it can help along the way.
The obvious win condition of this deck is the use of Etrata, the Silencer, combined with some Surveil mechanics to draw her out. Thief of Sanity also seems very interesting to play, at that price point.
House Guildmage can help control the board a bit.
This deck probably fails hard vs RDW and other super aggro decks that will destroy you in 5 turns.
