Top Standard Decks - July 2024

Last two weeks before Standard rotation! Thus, it is the last chance for players to take advantage of the current card pool before our beloved The Wandering Emperorimage Play with Fireimage leaves the format. What has transpired shortly before the shakeup? Well, one particular color combination that fell off the list got back really hard, whooping the asses of the rest of the pack... maybe thanks to a few new outlaws committing crimes around? Oh and Selesnya Enchantment has also prepared early for its graceful exit, with a very large chunk of of it lost in NEO next month.

Standard Tournament Meta - Top 8 Decks

Goodbye Raffine. While Esper itself as a color combination will most likely stay on the top list post-rotation, it is just utterly unsurprising that Esper Raffine's last month in Standard saw a fall off beyond half of the list at 6th. Boros Convoke also lost a lot of ground. In fact, it is nowhere to be found on the list at the moment, after several months of stability at around 2nd to 4th place. Dimir, at least, still hangs around at the top as usual, unfettered by the changes in the meta over the last two months.

Standard MTG Arena: Best of Three - Top 8 Decks

Last month, we saw Golgari and Simic sitting snugly right at the very end of the list, at 7th and 8th respectively. This month, they're suddenly 1st and 2nd place now. I guess these two are the "hip" thing in Bo3 right now. Boros is thankfully still around, just fell off at 4th, Esper tumbled down at 5th, and Azorius... fell all the way to 8th, in what seems to be a direct switcheroo with Simic. Jund is also back, by the way, thanks to the sheer surprise KO power and comeback value of Calamity, Galloping Infernoimage, Vaultborn Tyrantimage, and Smuggler's Surpriseimage.

Standard MTG Arena: Best of One - Top 8 Decks

Well, no major changes here, expectedly unfortunately. Aside from a few shuffled places here and there, Bo1 is as volatile of a format as ever. We did kinda lose that interesting "Rakdos" Azorius deck though, in exchange for an Orzhov Midrange entry, so there's that. Even Selesnya Enchantments didn't really do anything, and in fact, it jumped back three places compared to last month. Wait a minute... why is that Mono Black Crimes deck now turned into Mono Black Toxic?!
