Tinkerers Cube Draft


In Tinkerers Cube Drafts, you sit down with 7 players each with a booster pack, you take turns picking a card from boosters and send them around to the other players. When you are done with the draft you use the cards you picked plus however many basic lands you see fit to build a 40 card deck. The general consensus is to build a deck with 17 lands and 23 non-land cards, other mana sources, or double-faced cards can make you want to have fewer lands, but the rule of thumb is 17 lands maximum for most decks.

Tinkerers Cube Drafts are timed as you play with other MTGA players and you need to set aside 10-15 minutes for the draft portion as leaving will cause the game to auto-select your cards. After you are done you can create your deck whenever you want and play your matches at your leisure.

The booster packs in Cube Drafts contains procured cards from the MTG Arena card pool to create an exclusive draft experience. The cards you draft are not added to your collection, hence the lower cost to participate compared to other draft formats. In Magic the Gathering, these drafts are called Phantom Drafts.
