Spicy Urza Meld Decks for Arena Standard
Urza, for the longest time, was pretty much better known for his constructs and structures, at least gameplay-wise. There haven’t really been this many new Urza cards in a set for a while, so it is quite exciting to see their potential unfold.
For this deck tech article, we have gathered some of the interesting build arounds that attempt to make the best out of his specialities, while taking advantage of the one thing that he probably wouldn't be as happy to exploit lore-wise.
Jeskai Urza
The latest of LVD’s Urza-themed decks, the initial concept was to use Urza, Prince of Kroog to make a copy of prominent Brothers’ War artifacts, particularly Portal to Phyrexia. However, the default strategy is still to meld into Urza, Planeswalker as effectively as possible, and so it mostly has the elements of his previous Urza builds.

Jeskai Super Kinda Friends
This build integrates both Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim and Urza, Planeswalker into a single deck, with the typical obligatory addition of Saheeli, Filigree Master and The Wandering Emperor. Generate enough advantage to either win by super friends, or keep the board state filtered until your opponent quits.

Reanimating Big Things!
Instead of Jeskai, this one is an Azorius a Bant build that focuses mainly on reanimation for both artifacts and creatures. Needless to say Portal to Phyrexia is pretty much still a staple, with Repair and Recharge and Invoke Justice even doubling as a copy of it after use.

Bant Invoke
Not exactly as Urza-focused, but it has a few alternate strategies here and there that add a twist to the above reanimation build. It adds One with the Multiverse, for example, since it is also a proper target for Invoke Justice and creates just as many wacky plays as Portal to Phyrexia.

Azorius Control Easy Gems & Packs
This Urza build centers around artifacts, particularly ramping up your ability engine for various tricks. Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh is also chosen as its primary planeswalker support. It would either combo with Urza, Lord Protector for mana cost reduction, or just chuck them straight to the graveyard to reanimate later.
