Multiverse Legends - Spoilers And Frequently Asked Questions

Multiverse Legends is a cool part of the March of the Machine set that I'm not hearing anyone talk about. Perhaps it's just being overshadowed by the main set. After all, the new battle card type has everyone talking and the MOM storyline is shaping up to be one of the most dense in a very long time. That said, Multiverse Legends has a cool concept behind it too. So, let's start by taking a look at what Multiverse Legends is.

Multiverse Legends is a special supplemental set that will release alongside March of the Machine. It contains 65 iconic legendary characters depicted in an art style that matches their home plane. The release is similar to the Masterpiece cards from Kaladeth, the Mystical Archive series from Strixhaven, or the Retro Artifacts of The Brothers' War set. However, they'll be appearing more frequently than cards from those previous sets.

If you like to crack packs and chase lottery cards, this sub-set is going to be right up your alley. With that basic info out of the way, let's dive into the cards themselves and answer some frequently asked questions about the mini set no one seems to be talking about.

Frequently Asked Questions

frequently asked questions

Which Products Contain Multiverse Legends Cards?

As mentioned above, these are going to show up at a higher frequency than the similar supplementary products of the past have. So, what March of the Machine packs/products do these come in? Most of them, surprisingly. You'll get one MVL card in Draft and Set Boosters and at least three in Collector Boosters.

Furthermore, they are an extra the Draft and Set boosters. This means that they don't replace a card of equal rarity. So, if you get a rare multiverse legends card in a Draft of Set booster it will be in addition to the regular rare. Multi-rare packs are pretty cool if you ask me. Oh, and all the cards in the set can appear in a new halo foil treatment, etched foil, or even as a serialized card.

What Formats Will These Cards Be Legal In?

MVL cards will not be a part of Standard. Each card will be legal in whatever formats the given card is already legal in. They will, however, be legal in Draft and Sealed environments and on MTGA and Historic.

How Many Multiverse Legends Cards Are There?

There are a total of 65 cards in the set. As of now, only around 19 have been spoiled so be sure to keep your eyes out for more. Whenever they drop, you'll find them above.

When Does The Set Release?

Right alongside the main March of the Machine set on April 21, 2023.

Conclusion

I haven't heard much talk about Multiverse Legends but I'm pretty stoked about it. Not only are we getting reprints of some cool commanders but we're getting them with some brand-new treatments representing their home plane. And these aren't some lottery cards that are showing up in 1% of packs or something. Every pack of March of the Machines you buy will contain at least one of these legends. Hopefully, today's article will get some of the spoilers out to the player base before the set drops later this month.
