Magic: The Gathering Arena... Pancakes!? MTG Has Collab With IHOP
Magic: The Gathering is no stranger to peculiar food crossovers. In the past, we've had collabs with Hot Pockets and seen limited-edition MTG-themed Cheez-It boxes. Now, we have an MTG Arena promotion going on with IHOP. And it's pretty cool. There are Arena codes, special menu items dedicated to particular Planeswalkers, and some exclusive playmats, card sleeves, and counters. Here's everything to know about MTG meets IHOP.
Magic: The Gathering / IHOP Crossover
Planeswalker Pancakes
As you can see from this table display, they chose five Planeswalkers (one for each color), each with their stack of pancakes for a special limited-time menu. Ajani has original classic buttermilk to "keep the multiverse at peace," Jace has double blueberry "conjured just for MTG lovers," Liliana's stack is dubbed "Chocolate Corruption" and is filled with chocolate chips and covered with chocolate syrup.
Chandra fans can get the "pyroblast pancakes," which are strawberry banana and have strawberry syrup. Lastly, green mages get a four-stack of protein pancakes that "are in tune with nature and in tune with your stomach." Strangely enough, I've seen quite a few people take to Reddit to voice dissatisfaction with Vivian being the green walker, with most wanting Nissa or Gurrak.
Arena Rewards
If you sign up for the IHOP rewards program (which you can do here) you can get an Arena code for 2000xp. However, don't expect a handout... You can only redeem it once you've got three "pancoins" to spend. So, if you've, for some reason, got a few of those lying around in an IHOP account, you're in luck.

MagicCon: Las Vegas Exclusive IHOP Merch
Aside from some quirky menu items and an Arena code, an entire IHOP area at MagicCon: Las Vegas sold exclusive IHOP accessories. To my knowledge, there's nowhere to get these now other than the secondary market, and collectors are certainly on the hunt. Here is what they offered.

Conclusion
I don't think anyone foresaw MTG teaming up with a pancake restaurant. But considering that some legit accessories came with this collaboration, it is much more exciting than some of the other gimmicky ones. It won't excite all players, but some enjoy collecting weird MTG stuff, and this definitely fits that bill. And hey, if you eat there a lot, you can get a free 2000xp for Arena.
Now, comment and let me know which one of those Planeswalker pancake stacks you'd order. I think I'd have to go with my girl Chandra and her strawberry banana flapjacks.
