Unfortunately, the sale for Deceptive Divination has ended. So, if you're just now seeing this, you'll have to grab this drop on the secondary market. That said, there's an error you should know about - Circular Logicimage. Usually, an instant, it was printed as a sorcery in both the foil and non-foil versions of this drop.

Regarding the issue, WOTC said that the card can still be played as an instant, despite what the card says, and that they're reducing the price of the drop by $5. If you're interested, here is the full article on the printing error.

Hard-Boiled Thrillers

dire undercurrentsobeka brute chronologist

This drop features five cards similar to pulp fiction detective magazines from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. These stories often featured hard-boiled private investigators solving crimes in gritty urban settings. WOTC further nods to the fiction of the era with this excerpt on the announcement page:

"Dirty puddles reflect blinking neon lights as some deep, urgent jazz tune hangs heavy in the air. A rain-soaked fedora sits in the gutter.

"Was I double-crossed, or did I do the double-crossing?" the bruised detective asks no one but himself as he lurches to his feet. "Maybe it doesn't matter—even the secrets have secrets in this town, and I ought to know better than to trust someone so lovely." The bitter taste of betrayal always makes the truth even harder to swallow.

Now there were only two things left to do: make sure that two-faced gangster gets what's his, and don't forget the hat."

  • 1x Reconnaissance
  • 1x Jace, Wielder of Mysteries
  • 1x Black Market
  • 1x Dire Undercurrents
  • 1x Obeka, Brute Chronologist

  • Non-foil: USD 29.99
  • Rainbow foil: USD 39.99
