Highlighting Some Awesome Work by Aetherhub Content Creator's

Some Awesome Decks from members of the Aetherhub Community

I have a ton of respect for every member of the Magic community who takes the plunge into making and producing content. Streaming, editing, posting to YouTube, building your brand and all the other work that goes into content is time consuming and difficult. On the other hand, being a very successful content creator can be a dream job and a fantastic lifestyle if you make it! I am always super encouraged to see new content creators build their audience, specifically those who are part of the Aetherhub community, and am always rooting for their success!

One of my favorite features of Aetherhub is the ability to share your content on the front page. This is a great tool to bring exposure to creators and to help grow their audience. Aetherhub is lucky enough to have some fantastic contributors to the website, and I think they deserve some extra recognition! Therefore, I’d like to shout-out a few who have been posting some awesome content recently!

I will post articles like this frequently and include a few creators per week, so if you aren’t mentioned in this post you will be featured soon!

Titansfan920

As a diehard Patriots fan, it does feel a little weird to be highlighting someone named Titansfan when they knocked the Pats out of the playoffs a few weeks ago. However, the wounds from that loss are finally starting to heal, and we will just win another Superbowl next year to make up for it so its all good.

Since the beginning of 2020 Titansfan has gone from 370 YouTube subscribers to 617! That’s more new subscribers than Derick Henry rushing yards against Baltimore! You don’t see that kind of growth if you are putting out bad material, and I’m sure he will reach the big 1,000 sub milestone in no time!

One sweet deck from Titansfan is his Boros Haktos brew. I have a soft spot for Haktos since I love the movie Troy with Brad Pitt as Achilles, and everybody loves some good ol fashion Embercleaveimage action. The deck is basically a Boros knights deck with Haktos thrown in, and he is also running the new equipment card Shadowsphere which is pretty sweet in action. The card can be equipped to Fervent Championimage for 0 mana, which gives you a 2/2 with haste, first strike, trample and lifelink for 1 mana. Not too shabby is you ask me.  The win con of Haktos + Embercleave must be incredibly satisfying however, and I definitely plan on trying this deck out.

Also, Titansfan beat Mogwai with the deck during the early access streamer event, which is a nice little win right there.

MTGArenaOriginalDecks

MTGArenaOriginalDecks is a more established content creator with just about 40,000 subscribers on YouTube. He is one of the most unique personalities you will see in the game, and I think his streams are absolutely hilarious. He comes up with a ton of sweet janky decks, but one of his recent ones particularly caught my attention.

This deck seeks to take advantage one of my favorite new cards from the set Nyxbloom Ancientimage. With this deck, if you can get Nyxbloom Ancient to survive one turn you should be winning the game on the next one. In order to cheat the card out early, MTGArenaOriginalDecks came up with the genius strategy of Wilderness Reclamationimage into Electrodominanceimage. Since Electrodominance is an instant, combined with Wilderness Reclamation and land ramping enchantments Gift of Paradiseimage and Wolfwillow Havenimage, you can cast the Electrodominace for x=7 relatively soon in the game. At this point, any other Electrodominance or Expansion/Explosion you cast should do enough direct burn damage to finish things off. This deck looks like an absolute blast, and if you have the cards unlocked definitely check it out!

MTG_Joe

MTG Joe is a part time content creator who has built up a nice following and has recently passed the 1.5k subscribers’ milestone! He plays everything from budget decks to tier one strategies, and I really enjoy the decks he features. Recently he posted a video with the Hush Titan deck from the Aetherhub Community tournaments, which was one of the decks I found the most exciting from the top finishers. However, he also posted his version of Esper Stax recently, and as a huge fan of the archetype I really liked his approach to building the deck.

In my version I had actually cut T3feri from the mainboard since I wanted to prioritize running 4 Treacherous Blessings and Oath of Kaya’s. However, with the new sagas The Birth of Meletisimage and Elspeth Conquers Deathimage, the ability of T3feri to bounce those enchantments is actually very powerful. He is also playing 4 copies of Shatter the Skyimage, which makes sense since in this deck since it is easier to cast than Kaya’s Wrath. If you bring back one of your opponents’ creatures with Elspeth Conquers Death, you can also get the draw a card bonus as well. I have been running Dream Trawlerimage at my top end, since it is an amazing finisher, but MTG_Joe opted instead to play Ashiok, Nightmare Museimage. I will have to try this out before I form an opinion on it, but the card is cheaper to cast and pretty fun to play with! I unfortunately don’t think Esper Stax will be making it to the top tier this time around, but its always great to see players evolving the strategy!

Hey thanks for the highlight!

In regards to my Stax list, I've tailored it to Bo1 so 4 Treacherous Blessings is too risky vs all the aggro decks. Teferi is awesome in the deck to recycle your saga's or oath of kaya's. I went Ashiok over Dream Trawler since Ashiok can impact the board it comes down and the tokens stick around after doom foretold. I've also found myself more likely to be hellbent then having surplus discard fodder for the Dream Trawler + doesnt get caught in sweeper

I appreciate this! And we're lucky enough to have quite a few great creators on here! I think your Patriots won enough to take a year....or ten off don't you!? :)
