MTG Arena extension almost done

While I will cover our extension called MTGA Assistant in more detail when it releases (which is very soon). You can get a good peek at the collection and deck tracking functions in the video above. We also have the draft helper ready but I don't want to spoil it all right away.

Made a lot of custom APIs for the extension

One of the benefits of us making an Arena extension is that we can leverage the power of Aetherhub's database of cards and decks, we have spent a lot of time making APIs available for our extension for pushing data to the client.

Spoiler card on Monday!

We will be gradually revealing our spoiler card on the front page, updating it every hour and I will also post some MTG Arena codes with each reveal! so be quick to get a peek at our card and also have the chance at grabbing some free MTGA stash!

New navigation bar bugged over login dropdown and card prices

A little oopsie, fixed now. I did not discover this until I saw it myself, I rarely log into the site as it supports auto-login.

Issues with youtube Thumbnails fixed

Sometimes YT thumbnails showed up blank and it has been worse lately with Chrome. We found the issue, it seems that Chrome has built-in "lazy" loading of these images. This becomes an issue since we also have our own lazy loading, so we disabled it for these thumbnails, problem solved.

Spoiler cards get added continually

The only exception is cards that are not translated, we do not want to import these as it is such a hassle to fix at a later point. I usually go through and add the cards after all the spoilers are done for the day.

Backend Improvements for Spoiler cards

I also did some backend work to give me the ability to target specific caches so you see spoiled cards quicker in the deck builder. Earlier we had to clear all the caches to do this which slowed down the site for a bit.

I work full-time on AetherHub now!

I really enjoy working on the site and I have taken a year off my normal work to focus on building AetherHub. While the site does have some income I do not take any salary out of the company, I would rather use it to grow the site. So I have saved up enough to live without income for a year and try to get the ball rolling. I did make a Patreon though if you are interested in supporting and I added a cool perk, you get AetherHub premium if you support me at the 4$ level! Patreon Link.

Thanks guys! We are doing the final touches right now and preparing for release. As of right now, I'm working on a short demo video for the new website.

Hi André,
Its great to see what you are doing - it will give a boost to membership I think it will be the only extension that has both the deck, community, interaction of AetherHub and the deck / collection tracking in one place.
Consider yourself Patreon-ed :)
Happy new year
