The Jankyard Fall League is a 10-week league in which Magic players will play two matches per week on MTG Arena against different opponents. The MTG Arena format will be different each week. This will give players the ability to test their deckbuilding skills and to showcase their ability to play in different formats. After 10 weeks, the top players will meet in playoffs to determine The Jankyard Fall League champion.

The event is being put on by The Jankyard, a MTG content creation channel featuring streaming and YouTube videos.

The entry for the league is free but is limited to 32 players, so sign up as soon as possible, as it will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the league maximum has been reached, there will be a waiting list created, also on a first-come, first-serve basis. That list will be used to fill slots for those who back out before the start of the league. You can sign up for the league by emailing jankyardmtg@gmail.com with your name, Arena ID and # and Discord Name and #. Deadline for entry will be Sept. 4, 2020.

The league begins on Labour Day, Sept. 7, and will wrap up in the beginning of December. After the 10-weeks of regular season play, the top 8 will qualify for the playoffs. There will be three weeks of playoffs to get to the champion. If there are less than 17 competitors, only the top 4 will qualify and there will be just two weeks of playoffs.

There will be individual tournaments posted on Aetherhub under the league for each round of matchups for each week. You will have to sign up ahead of the week for each separate tournament. The matches will be held through Direct Challenge on MTG Arena at the players' convenience but must be conducted during the week they are scheduled for - between Monday and Sunday. Players will report their results in the relevant tournament on Aetherhub. If there is any issue with that, reporting can be done on Discord.

For each week you must use the same deck (or decks) in both matches. 

Here is the scheduled plan for the different formats through the 10 weeks of the regular season (all matches, even Brawl, will be best of three):

• Sept. 7-13: Standard
• Sept. 14-20: Historic Brawl
• Sept. 21-27: Historic
• Sept. 28-Oct.4: Gladiator (100-card singleton)
• Oct. 5-11: Standard Artisan (only commons and uncommons)
• Oct. 12-18: Standard Brawl
• Oct. 19-25: Historic Artisan
• Oct. 26-Nov. 1: Standard Gauntlet (each player brings three Standard decks and must play a different one in each game)
• Nov. 2-8: Gladiator
• Nov. 9-15: Historic Gauntlet (each player brings three Historic decks and must play a different one in each game)

Prizing for the event is still being determined but may include some codes for gems on Arena.

JT, the host of The Jankyard, will do regular streams for the league featuring his own matches but will also encourage players who want to share their screens through Discord to inform JT, either through Discord or email (jankyardmtg@gmail.com) of the timing of the match. JT will determine if it works with his stream so that he can broadcast it or record it and stream it at a later time.
