Standard - RB Dragons Midrange

3 20 31
13 15 6 26

This deck is meant to remove opponent's early threats with the full RB Removal package, then on turn 3, 4, and 5 just start jamming threats such as Sarkhan, Skyship, Verix, Chandra, and Demanding Dragons/Glorybringers.

Sidedeck: Demanding Dragon is the replacement for Glorybringer in Control matchups as Glorybringers effect is nearly strictly worse than Demanding Dragons. Glorybringer is the replacement for Demanding Dragon in Aggro matchups for the opposite reason. The Scarab God is an incredible card that wins any matchup if it lands and sticks. Verix Bladewing is insane if the kicker effect lands, which can happen on turn 5 with the help of Sarkhan, making a 5 mana 8/8 with flying split on two dragons, which provides two draws with dragon's hoard, mainly to beat the Midrange matchup. Duress against control is always good in black decks as removing planeswalkers from hands is better than from the field, also it provides information about the hand and can remove early removal and counterspells for your dragons. The Chandra/Liliana's Defeat are options vs. aggro/midrange to help remove early threats. The Eldest Reborn is great in Midrange and Control matchups as it is almost always getting value and bringing back Nicol Bolas or Demanding Dragon can be an alternate way to win. Yahenni's Expertise can destroy Aggro boards and allows you to stick a Sakhan or Dragon's Hoard down for free, as those cards are often hard to play from behind as they have no immediate impact to the battlefield.

But is 2 Chandra, 3 Sarkhan consistent enough is what I'm thinking. Originally I had 4 Sarkhan 3 Chandra and it was way too heavy on walkers. Also I was thinking about adding Scrapheap Scoungers and possibly Karn for more aggression? In that case I'd probably cut an Arguel's, Glint-Sleeve, and Skyship Stalker for 3 Scrapheap and then switch Chandra/Verix for 2 Karn. Maybe too inconsistent, but I think it might be able to outrace Rakdos.

I would keep Chandra, as I think all 4 modes are useful. Running 24 lands, Sarkhan and Dragon Hoard you'll often find yourself using the card draw ability. The other 2 modes are also relevant so why not?

I was thinking about that as well. The Chandra feels weak outside of her mana ramp ability. I'll try it out.
Roland
I would maybe chuck the chandra's and add 3 whelps or bladewings.
