Pretty much the standard list. Hydroid Krasis
is a lategame bomb, draw engine or both. It's especially nasty if you have a Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
emblem.
I view Teferi by himself as an alt wincon, given how slow it plays out. I prefer to get the games over quicker so even if I don't have the emblem yet, I'll drop Krasis if I can play Nexus of Fate
that turn.
The ideal start is something like Breeding Pool
on T1, Sunpetal Grove
into Growth Spiral
dropping a shockland (or any other we might have in hand). From there if our opponent's playing aggressively we want Gift of Paradise
on ideally a basic land, or an open checkland. This leaves us able to use Revitalize
or Root Snare
depending on what the board looks like. If up against control or something more midrange you might be safe to play Wilderness Reclamation
instead. If you have Settle the Wreckage
in hand, you can also play Wilderness Reclamation and keep the mana open. From there we can go a number of ways. Against contol I like to get as much mana as I can on the board before I attempt anything that will leave me tapped out if I'm countered. Playing Nexus of Fate on their endstep is a good way to bait counters, reshuffle our deck and possibly take 2 turns immediately after theirs. When we have a transformed Search for Azcanta // Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin
with a Wilderness Reclaimation (or more) in play, we need to remember to a) refesh the stops on our turn, so we don't miss our endstep and b) tap all of our mana before resolving Teferi's +1 and Wilderness Reclamation so we spend less digging through the deck. Be liberal with Chemsiter's Insight as this is going to be an MVP once we start going off, especially if we have a few Wilderness Reclamation on the board.
