Traditional Historic - Colorless C-C-C-C-Combo

1 29 9 21

Yeah man so honestly you just copy your Powerstones or Mystic Forges with Sculpting Steel, get Paradox Engine out and cast your entire deck off the rip with Mystic Forge. For ease of playing and efficiency just press QQ before you play any spell while Paradox Engine is in play. Forsaken Monument just speeds the combo up, it isn't needed though. People target it with Necromentia or Unmoored Ego but it isn't vital to win. Honestly, Paradox Engine is just so broken it doesn't matter.

21 Lands seems to be the sweet spot. After you get 3 lands you'll find yourself exiling them off the top with the forge. We have so much artifact ramp you really, really don't want to be drawing lands off the top when you have access to 20+ mana T4.

Easy win lines are Karn Liberated -2 into Karn Creator wishing for Akroma's Monument, or Ulamog into Akroma's Monument, or casting 10 spells + Aetherflux from Wishboard etc.

Mystic Forge + Paradox is the most obvious combo, but the rest of the deck just makes it more efficient. Ugin, Forsaken Monument, etc.

Deck is significantly stronger on play due to you basically playing goldfish instead of MTG.

Ideal play is:

T1 -> Land, T2 -> 2 CMC Rock (Guardian Idol > Mind Stone) -> T3 Karn/Mystic Forge/Hedron Archive->2 CMC rock
or

T3 -> Powerstone -> 2 CMC Rock (if you hit your 3rd land)

TIPS:

Sometimes keeping a mindstone or guardian idol in hand for an easy Paradox Engine proc is worth saving it even if you don't have the paradox engine out.

Knowing what to wish for is incredibly important. If you don't have a Mystic Forge out it likely isn't worth wishing for a Paradox Engine. Forsaken Monument is almost always worth it if you can cast it on curve the next turn, the same turn, or have an immediate use for the mana generation.

Don't underestimate wishing for things like Tormonds Crypt or Grafdiggers against Arcanist.

IMPORTANT! Wishing for Grafdiggers means you forego using your Mystic Forges to cast off the top. Your main stragegy at that point is to play a longer grind/midrangey type game using Karn Liberateds creatures and Ugin for value since you won't be able to combo off with Aetherflux.
