This is a budget Legacy combo deck I built for a friend on Fiverr. If you have deck ideas you'd like built (for any budget or format), you can find me on Fiverr as Genoslugcs.
The deck is all in on the combo of playing Malcolm, playing Reckless Fireweaver, turning it into a pirate, playing an artifact, and going off. To make this happen as fast as possible, I had to cut most non-essential cards from your original list to really streamline the strategy. For example, Amoeboid Changeling was far too slow (and prone to removal), considering it needed to wait for an entire turn (summoning sickness) to aid in the combo.
In its place, we have Trickery Charm and Standardize, which both do the same job for cheaper and/or faster. With these, you can also play at instant speed, which helps mask the combo just a little bit. So, that covers the combo itself - Let's break down some of the support.
Between the spells pictured above, we have 11 sources of the fast ramp to help get the combo to win as early as turn three. Technically, you could win on turn two, but you'd need some serious luck. That said, while turn-three wins are fairly straightforward, I'd say T4 is the most realistic. In total, you need as little as six mana to go off. Here is how:
Note: Keep in mind that you can play either of the creatures out before the combo turn (for example, Reckless Fireweaver on turn one or two), and then you'll need less mana the turn you go off.
The mana from Pentad Prism can be any color, so you can use these two to cast the blue for Trickery Charm, Standarize, or Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator. We've also got a full playset of Manamorphose, which can help you filter the red mana from Simian Spirit Guide or Desperate Ritual into blue mana.
The cards pictured above help you manipulate (and draw) the top of your library and find combo pieces. The two creatures are the ones you'll be hunting for most often, and I recommend aiming to start with at least one or the other in your opening hand. Beyond these spells, we've also got:
To start the combo, you will need an artifact. Of course, we have the Mishra's Bauble, which is free. So, if you have a copy as you're getting ready to go, consider saving it. Beyond this, we're being a bit sneaky with six artifact lands you can drop on the combo turn to get the ball rolling.
Note: Be sure to keep this in mind and sequence things correctly... I messed up quite a bit in testing, haha.:)
In the main board, we have Red Elemental Blast to stop Force of Will and Force of Negation from ruining our good time. These also hit many of the format's creatures like Ledger Shreder and Murktide Regent. Anytime you're not playing against blue (probably won't be too often), you can side these out. When you are, they'll be a lifesaver in game one.
And you can surprise opponents and cast it using Simian Spirit Guide.
