It's not very often that I build an aggro deck, I prefer jank and combo decks. But I decided that with the current meta, the fast beatdown is sometimes key. It's not something new and I'm sure there are plenty of better decks like this. The deck wants to abuse the card draw from the Eidolon with the Weights and Grasps, Kroxa to whittle there hand down and the Lurrus to repeat it. Embercleave is something that isn't always needed, but it's there just as a surprise. Most times you can just outright win by putting Demonic Embrace on the Regisaur. A good opening hand can beat most decks, it will struggle against burn since they can just wipe the board but thats spells that aren't going face so you should be able to have a big turn once they have ran out of steam. With control you are trying to flood the board with creatures as quick as possible, board wipes and counters shouldn't be too painful since you can use the Lurrus to try and get things back and the deck is mostly creatures. The Regisaur can be a bit of a pain, especially if you end up discarding an embercleave since it's such a massive swing in pressure, but a lot of the decks I faced couldn't deal with the board presence quick enough. If you flood the board and it gets wipes it can all be used to fuel the Kroxa.
So what can be changed? The Eidolon and auras can be swapped out for better removal, The Phoenix can be taken out and replaced by Oxs or other escape cards. I didn't have all the cards I would have liked to make the deck, which is why bonecrushers are in the deck. They can be swapped out for two more oxs or phoenix. It's just a good removal card that can stay in your hand if you have the regisaur on the battlefield. The temple can be changed for either a shock or a check land, but I didn't have enough, the scry slows the pace down, but since it is only a one of I've rarely pulled it. I haven't tested this in the ranked queue yet, but in standard I've beaten a few tier one decks (goblins, doom, rogues) somehow I haven't faced an Ulamog/Ugin but they would cripple this deck. It can certainly be a competitive deck with a few adjustments, but it is fun since no-one expects a flying, double-strike dinosaur on turn 5/6.
