Midrange Control

The Continuation of the Angel Saga see us bring in a new set of enchantments with a focus on control and card draw in order to play a slower game with more options to deal with shut down decks and the ability to hand pick some solutions from our side board.

Book 1      Book 2

If Ixilan's Binding, and Gideon's Reproach where the salty ocean, Ashiok's Erasure would be a brine lake at the bottom, countering someone with an enchantment is embarassing enough but when that card creates a body on the field and often comes in for 2U it tends to induce mass panic in the direction of the conceed button. Just play this card and take someone's counter spells out of thier deck, it doesn't matter if its a meaningless play, do it for yourself and enjoy the fact that you actualy have an efficent reason to use this highly supierior Test of Talents to really close the door on people hoping to control the board state.

Omen of the Sea comes in hot and while a good card by its self, with Yoga Mystic in play, you really amp the sac value with an aditional counter on demand, this lets you bait out the chump block before you add the +1/+1 counter. It's got recural value from Jango as well making a great addition here.

Frogify makes its precense known as a kind of budget Gideon's that is often better in many ways. Nothing to facney here just some cheap board control that can also make a body.

Finaly we come to the unlikely star of the show, a card with odd conditions, an effect of questionable value and a payoff on a 4 turn delay that is so obviously vulnerable and slow that it can hardly even pretend to be a noob trap as bascialy, everything it does is done better by something else. But underneath all that inefficency is a giant pile of BDE waiting to be unzipped and dropped onto the table. This is that card you play to eat the counter spell, this is the card you play to keep your important stuff from getting disenchanted, this is the card that tells Chad to move over captian Sigma is here and if you don't do something NOW whatever comes out of the sideboard from someone willing to actualy field this card seriously is going to screw me. This is also the card you cut to bring the deck down to 60....

Primarly we are looking for overwhelming splendor or brilliant restoration late game but hey if you already have some bird's on the field, why not make more with Alrund just to rub it in thier face? Coupled with the ability to fast grab our sigil or visitiation early if the shuffler decided to bury all your good shit at the bottom of the deck this can certinaly draw your opponents focus off your actual board state.

There are tons of side boarding options here so go nuts.
