This entire deck is pretty much built around the love affair that is Cram Session
with Silversmote Ghoul
. Use cram sesh, pitch the ghoul with the discard/draw effect, and profit! Deck contains plenty of self mill, escape cards, life gain, and grindy blink value with Yorion come the late game. As well as this, this deck has a bunch of good lessons with the learn package to help you come out ahead with a lot of trades.
Of course, there are also a lot of effect that let you gain 3 or more life to bring back the ghouls, but don't be afraid to be an opportunist! Using Witherbloom Command
lifegain as well as the incidental life gain from Environmental Sciences
or The Binding of the Titans
can work just as well, albeit a little clunkier.
This deck is designed to pick apart a lot of early game threats, and smack down in the late game with the ghouls. I'd say this deck would probably struggle most with Sultimatum style decks, with only one Academic Probation
to really interfere with what that deck is trying to do.
