Description

Dwarves and Dragons? Pretty sure we have seen that movie before. Well we can garuntee you that this deck is probaby a lot like that movie, just less drawn out and no pesky humans slowing down the story, (Unless your opponent is playing White weenies....wait a minute....). A handful of dwarves and a guy that you could potentially mistaken for a dwarf, go and steal some beautiful treausres. After they take their fill, a dragon and his buddies show up and help the dwarves rend the souls of your enemy? Thinking about it now, we might be have the wrong movie, but man, that would be awesome! Steal treasure and have that dragon go attack someone other than you? Wait a minute..., this deck is Desolation of Smaug! It is almost exactly that movie.  Whatever the case might be, Magda ensures we should have some fun. Magda,  Brazen Outlaw.

Now the main goal is to have a 3-4 creature board swinging while you activate Magda's ability. Sac the treasure tokens and grab your big boy dragon, Terror of Mount Velus to give everyone double strike and rend the board. This deck can flex from aggro to midrange so even wiining without Magda is possible, just not cool.

Overview:

Magda, Brazen Outlawimage Is our treasure engine here. Get her OG dwarven friends, Seven Dwarvesimage or maybe some of the tricksters Bloodline Pretenderimage and Masked Vandalimage, to help create treasure tokens so we can bust them open for the grand prize, Terror of Mount Velusimage. Another way we grab tokens is in Gadrak, the Crown-Scourgeimage. Besides being a strong blocker on turn three, he will allow us to swing indescriminately. If Dwarves swing, we get treasure. If Dwarves die, we get treasure. Bloodline Pretenderimage is a artifact creature aswell, so that adds to our artifact count for Gadrak. Our last Treasure generator is Goldspan Dragonimage. He gives us great flying pressure alongside all of the gold that we could want. With the tokens now creating two mana, we can ramp into other dragons or maybe a cheeky Embercleaveimage to end the game.

Immerstrum Predator and Korvold, Fae Cursed King are really just here for Dragon spice. Korvold can get pretty disgusting since you have to "sacrifice" tokens to get the mana. Combo him with Immerstrum's sacrificing ability and you can get some serious draw, if the cards fall that way that is. We aren't confident that they make the deck as optimal as it could be, but they make us smile, so suck it.

For removal we added Bloodcheifs Thirst and Heartless Actimage. We are not fans of U/B rouges, mono white hurts us bad and Angel tribal gets in the air before we get our draconic Airforce up and running. Masked Vandalimage helps us out on the artifact/enchantment hate.

Heroic Interventionimage is here for protection. This deck wants to commit a lot to the board, so this gets us out of any board wipe nonsense. Also protects us from any control madness. For example: We love swinign Goldspan, they try to remove it and we just burn the token we just genned for the hexproof/indestrucible. Also, we use it to protect our Magda, so we can keep our dwarves stealing that treasure.

Thanks for reading my lengthy drawn out deck description. Hopefully my Rotten Atherhub score won't tank. It is not the best deck out there and I'm sure its predecessors were much much better and full of character devel- sorry, got a bit side tracked there. Feel free to give any input you have. Would love to take this deck from mediocre to extra mediocre.

(I am horrible with Rare Lands forgive me while I leave that to you all the, proabably smarter than I, genreal public
