Description

Lets take a look at one of the, if not the best draft archetype in M19; White Red Aggro. An archetype so strong that you do not even need to draft the optimal cards for it to work. We want to put on very early pressure, putting our opponent in an defensive position and keep on pushing, never letting them recover until we finish them off. While this deck is not really that aggressive and we have cards that are defensive and not that aggressive, we managed to get in 7 wins without losing. We also have to admin that some of our opponents stumbled and we for once had some luck with most of our starting hands. In after thought this deck should had 16 and not 17 lands, we have several cards in the sideboard that fit nicely,

We started off the draft with this beatiful card, while it synergizes with other Knights it is a great card by itself. Keeping mana up just for the threat of double striking is enough for it to often eat chumpers or hit through. We only pump when we need to and would rather use the mana to continue putting out threats. We only have the Cavalry Drillmasterimage for the synergy, we kept the Knight of the Tuskimage in the sideboard as it does not make a good fit in our beatdown deck.

Not really the removal we want as the opponent is on the defense and to not tap out often, but it synergizes with the Star-Crowned Stagimage. We also had some situations where the opponent tried to beat us down in the air and was punished by this.

Rustwing firstpick boi, i had this in my deck more for the meme factor than the strength of the card. It does better in an WG Deck but it managed to peck down a couple of my opponents. The courser however is a must in a deck like this for getting in those last points of damage.

The Viashino Pyromancerimage is a really good aggressive card chipping off some damage when it comes out. Onakke Orgre is a fine 3 drop in this deck as it can hit through Giant Spiderimage and high thoughness creatures. It has low toughness and often trades with weak creatures, Sure Strikeimage on top of it makes it kill even bigger creatures and also saves it in response to Titanic Growthimage. We do have to be very careful with removals

Picked up this up as our first red card, even with two colors this card is way to good to be ignored and is one of the best cards in the best archetype.

While it might seem counter intuitive the Nova is still very nasty in this deck. Are you losing? Wipe the board and restart the game. Or do as we did when our opponent had our creatures on lockdown and equipped his creatures with Auras, free our beaters and completely obliterate the WG advantage by shrinking his creatures.

Top Curve Finisher for our deck, just what we want; Pour more gas into our smaller creatures for one last hit then finish them off next round with 3 in the air. Charge is great when we are hitting wide and forces in some trades and damage.

A little combo value pack here. While Axe is not a strong card it does fit with some of our worse beatdown creatures like the Packbeast, Diamond Mareimage, Rustwing Falconimage, Shield Mareimage and all the 2 power creatures. The Fountain can be very annoying with all its lifegain but is not a very good fit in the deck as it is way better in BW. We also did not get any payoffs for the lifegain unfortunately but instead we went for some long term value with Packbeast since we can win long games because of the game resetter Cleansing Novaimage
