I've been wanting to brew an artifact deck since I began playing Magic Arena and saw my opportunity when I saw Master Splicer spoiled in the Magic 2020 Coreset.
I always begin my builds based around a trifecta or trinity of key cards. This deck, that I'm calling "Golem Splicers" starts with four Master Splicer four Steel Overseer and four Pattern Matcher You're happy to see any combination of these three cards in your opening hand.
The deck wins in one of three ways. 1. You overpower the opponent with massive golems 2. Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge Laser Beam to the face for massive damage 3. Combination of both 1 and 2.
We're playing two Manifold Key to untap key cards like Steel Overseer that gives us multiple uses of its ability. Manifold Key can also be used to make our Golems unblockable later in the game.
We run four Voltaic Servent as another way to combo with Steel Overseer and is a great away to give your golems pseudo "vigilance'
Revitalize as a way to cycle through the deck and keep us alive while our golems get larger.
four Mirror Image to copy our Master Splicer to create our golem army. Master Splicer is the main target for Mirror Image, but Mirror Image can be used in a jif to copy Steel Overseer or Voltaic Servent for some fun combos.
Three Teferi, Time Raveler Honestly this card should be in any deck that plays white and blue mana sources.
The Pattern Matcher is great for finding all of our 4-ofs creatures. We run four copies of our creatures making sure that pattern matcher always has a target.
Master Splicer what the deck is built around. You should always try to prioritize Master Splicer when using cards like Mirror Image and Pattern Matcher this allows you to get maximum advange from Master Splicer.
The newest addition to the deck is the Enchantment -Saga Phyrexian Scriptures is our board wipe, that clears our opponents side of the board, but leaves our artifact creatures. Be sure to use the +1 +1 counter from the saga on any Master Splicer you may have on the board.
In the land slots, we are running Zhalfirin Void for the scrye ability and two Karn's Bastion to proliferate the counters from Steel Overseer and also a Mobilized District because we can.
Finally we're running two versions of Tezzeret, Tezzeret, Artifice Master and Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge Both are a perfect fit for this deck, and not to mention, alot of fun to play. Tezzeret is a planeswalker that you don't see enough, but this deck is gonna change that.
If you're interested in a fun artifact deck, then I would encourage you to give this deck a try and leave some comments on how it ran for you. Thanks gamers and enjoy!
