Today we play a +1/+1 counters deck built around the new Botanical Brawler
uncommon. To synergize with the Botanical Brawler we a play a ton of creatures/cards that add +1/+1 counters. Defiler of Vigor
and Titania's Command
stand out as cards that can add counters to all our creatures which can trigger the Botanical Brawler's ability on all them causing it's power and toughness to explode! Another card that works quite well with Botanical Brawler is Hopeful Initiate
which has training, meaning it gains counters whenever we attack with it and the Brawler (assuming the initiate's power is less). This will trigger the Brawler, adding a counter, and we can repeat this process every turn. Ozolith, the Shattered Spire
adds more counters to our creatures speeding up our game plan. Lastly, we have 2 copies of Serpent-Blade Assailant
so we can give deathtouch to our Botanical Brawler which has trample. Trample and deathtouch interact super well because we just trample over any blocking creature and only 1 damage is assigned to the blockers because 1 damage is lethal with deathtouch.
