Murders at Karlov Manor

Murders at Karlov Manor is a "murder mystery" story which releases on February 9th, 2024. Players take the role of detective Alquist Proft, working for the Ravnican Agency of Magicological Investigations. To solve the mystery at hand, you must investigate, collect evidence, and identify suspects.

Speaking of suspects, no one is above suspicion, and many of the planes recognizable characters (Massacre Girl, Etrata, Izoni, Krenko, Judith, Kylox, Tolsimir Wolfblood, Rakdos, and Aurelia) are under the magnifying glass.

Puzzles

Further adding to the intrigue, there are real puzzles for players to solve!

Across the MKM cards and products, there are puzzles to be solved and a "final reward" for players who can solve the entire thing. Each product in the line contains a puzzle, and the mystery continues online as puzzles will be added there throughout the season as well.

There are a total of 15 puzzles and one "meta puzzle," and when solved, they unlock a secret about the future of Magic: The Gathering! WOTC really went the extra mile to immerse players in the world. I look forward to seeing what they have for the puzzles.

Ravnica Clue Edition

Ravnica Clue Edition

You can't have a murder mystery without clues. That said, MTG is collaborating with the board game Clue (also owned by Hasbro) for the set. So far, we know this contains packs similar to Jumpstart that you shuffle together and play with. However, upon completing specific game options, you get to ask questions, get clues, and try to solve an MTG "who-done-it." If you do manage to point the finger at the guilty player, you can actually win the game of MTG that way.

This is set to release sometime after Muders at Karlov Manor. We'll have more information about the exact date in the next batch of information coming January 16th. Until then, let's look at the Ravnica: Clue Edition spoilers.

@CR5Orca - I do too. It reminds me of the codex in a mid-2000 video game.

I like the dossier card style.
