Arena Standard - Waking the Yorion
Control Combo
Main goal of the Deck is to Destroy your opponents lands or slow them down for Waking the Trolls
. And then after that is on the field you can blink with Yorion, Sky Nomad
in order to do more land destruction! If you get Charming Prince
, you can continue the blink land destruction fest until you decide to stop and let the Waking The Trolls fire off to give you a BUNCH of 4/4 Trampling Troll Tokens.
Has the typical Yorion blink options of Skyclave Apparition
, Elspeth Conquers Death
, Glass Casket
, Omen of the Sun
, as well as Golden Egg
for card draw and mana fix in early game. You can also save Yorion with Glorious Protector
, or other Creatures if a Board wipe happens. Just Fortell the protector when you have mana avaliable.
Ramp with Solemn Simulacrum
, Birth of Meletis, and Beanstalk Giant
. Goldspan Dragon
also helps with Ramp as well as extra draw from Seize the Spoils
.
More land destruction in the form of Smashing Success
.
Creature removal with Shatterskull Smashing
and Fire Prophecy
in addition to what is in the Yorion Shell.
Sideboard was more of a theory then something for Bo3. But some of those can be used in the deck as other options.
Edit: Tweeked the Mana base.
Swapped out the Cultivates and Dual Strikes because we have enough Land Search if Instead bringing in 3 "sad robot" and then upped the Waking the trolls counts to 4.
Also tweeked the Sideboard based on what I have atm.
On a side note, a friend who has been testing in Bo3 with more cards/crafting mats then I have has added 2 more Goldspan Dragons for a more Aggro matchup in the Sideboard. Which I agree could be used.
