Based on a quote we're building Shanghai Noon except ya know magic exbee Japan instead of china. <.< For now.

. This may take a bit of imagination, even for a Vorthos in a non-Commander format, but if you think about it: Samurai are already compared to Cowboys so that's what inspired me to look at Noon and decide that using it with Samurai was a neat idea visually but mechanically it will also alllow us to remove one weakness Samurai have: having to wade through freaking spells to get their 'attacks alone' guys to do what you want. If only more of them had protection effects but that's what the Repreives were for...until I rememberd I want this for Pioneer. XD Feel free to try them out in a Modern version probably will work well. For now Touch the Spirit Realm and Surge is our 'fuck you nope" to the opponent. We don't have bolts in the main board because as awesome of image as they are we would just need to shed most of our bodies and just stack up blasts that we mostly are using to race which doesn't feel like the same deck. add some to the side board if you want them but I like winning with bodies. Feels more Samurai-like.

Our choices: low curve with 2-4. We use two to get stacks of "When you pull a Shiroyama you get x effect + Samurai effect again"We have 'lords' and lifelink which used to crush my foes back in the day in Modern and even Pioneer a little but that was a very different meta. Still if we get in spot we can go wide by protecting our bodies from removal or we can switch profiles (kinda a theme with me if you ever notice) and go wide dicarding our "Shiroyama" strat.  A rule you must not break when using it: 4s are for emergencies. Wandering Emperor, Leyline and our board wipes are for when we're backed against a corner or need to clear a threat and don't think the next time they go for their Thunderblaster we'll be out drawn...

Alternatively: getting a High Noon when we have Weddign Anoucement ensures we get a body a turn and only need to focus on removing theirs and pushing through damage. We don't care if the token dies while voltroned out because our Reconfigureable creatures will play themselves (how I love them) and if they get shot down our sword takes their keywords for when our bigger Samurai show up or we have enough in row to make the next hit dramatic as hell and filled with Cherry blossoms to cover up their sudden case of not having an arm.
