Blood Cult

A Vampire tribal built around getting blood tokens and sacrificing them to Oni-Cult Anvilimage, geared more onto the agro side of things with removal to get rid of the threats as they come in.

The Creatures:

Voldaren Epicureimage and Bloodtithe Harvesterimage get things going with creating Blood Tokens as well as are just good value cards to drop in first and foremost. The Harvester does not really stick around long as it’s a prime target for removal as well as commonly sacrificed for its ability but that ability is often worth the loss of the creature.

Voldaren Bloodcaster // Bloodbat Summonerimage and Bloodthirsty Adversaryimage both can surprise your opponent with their abilities, on top of both being solid 2 mana drops, the Voldaren Bloodcaster // Bloodbat Summonerimage  has flying and generates blood tokens often enough, but when she transforms she becomes a big threat in the right games. The Bloodthirsty Adversaryimage is always a fun time as a 2/2 with haste, but late game has a great use replaying spells from your graveyard, to which there are a few options that can really seal the deal for a win.

Falkenrath Forebearimage gains you another blood token source as well as a glass cannon flyer, and in a pinch can be return to the battlefield for a surprise attack.

Florian, Voldaren Scionimage is one of the stronger cards in the deck, with first strike, he is able to hold his own in a fight, but his ability lets you dig into you deck, which give you a second more selective draw each turn, Though you have to save your mana and not play land until your second main phase which can be an issue at times, but the card advantage is well worth it.

Bloodvial Purveyorimage is the beat stick of the deck, 4 mana for a 5/6 flying trample is insanely good but places a big target on his back, though if he survives, he can win you the game. The downside is that it gives you opponent blood tokens, great for when you’re attacking as it gives you a bonus, not so great when they are using them to draw into their deck for better cards. Still having him out puts a lot of pressure of the opponent to deal with it, but the same can be said for all most the creatures in this deck, by the time you cast this vendor of ichor, your opponent should have burned through hopefully all of their removal.

The Spells:

Hero's Downfallimage / Go for the Throatimage are your main removal spells, spread out for the mana curve a bit. All being instant speed really helps play around counter spells.

Gift of Fangsimage is a bit under rated in my opinion, it’s an early removal spell that can be used at the right time to buff your Vampires, prime targets being Florian, Voldaren Scionimage or a Falkenrath Forebearimage, or if you manage to transform her, Voldaren Bloodcaster // Bloodbat Summonerimage is a monster with Fangs.

Vampires' Vengeanceimage is the sweeper for this deck, and at instant speed can be a pain for many decks early on, as well as later on to kill off the weaklings if your opponent has a wide board and if gives you blood token as well. Really fun card to target with Bloodthirsty Adversaryimage ability, to clear a path into the win.

Oni-Cult Anvilimage is part of the name of the deck for a reason, it really plays well off of the vampire blood tokens, giving you plenty of 1/1’s to attack/block as needed. And chips away at your opponent’s life total while giving you back some life in the process.

The Game Plan:

Hit hard and hit fast, the agro side of the deck can lose steam pretty fast so you want to get those hits in when you can and for as much as you can Gift of Fangsimage helps a lot with this. After that you can use the Oni-Cult Anvilimage to finish the job. Bloodvial Purveyorimage is a swing for the win type of card if you can keep it out, and don’t under estimate Voldaren Bloodcaster // Bloodbat Summonerimage when she transforms as that can give you the win as well.

Update 1:

Modified numbers on a few things, dropped the Bloodvial Purveyorimage to 3 to open a spot and also let me lower the land count to 22. Side-boarded Ob Nixilis, the Adversaryimage as he tended to be hit or miss in the deck, but you could add him back in lowering the Florian, Voldaren Scionimage and Gluttonous Guestimage down by one if you want, he also messed with the vampire theme so I cut him.

Vampires' Vengeanceimage and Hero's Downfallimage are both solid cards, I play with x3 of the Vengeances as swarm control, but I could see increasing the Downfalls to x3 instead. The double black was the deciding factor for me really, not a huge deal, but it’s what made me pick the other card, plus sweeping the board feels great.

Update 2:

After watching LegenVD's recent video of a simular deck, it sold me on Forebear so I switched out Gluttonous Guestimage for Falkenrath Forebearimage as he fits the agro side of things better, but decreased him down to x2 and increased the Bloodthirsty Adversaryimage to x3 to curve things a little diffrently. Might reverse that down the road, but going to run it for a bit and see how it goes.

Update 3:

added Mishra's Research Deskimage as it brings a lot to the table and has great synergy with Oni-Cult Anvilimage , Removed the Cut Downimage 's to make room, also tweak some numbers on other card.
