Superfriends in standard sounded like a pipe dream, until now. Let's it break down!
Both and ramp us significantly into our big scary threats and planeswalkers.
The planeswalker choices are quite interesting...
The obvious ones like and are in here to make an army of servos and alot of loyalty and +1/+1 counters.
is just a self contained win condition. If he resolves with at least 4 other planeswalkers down he wins the game (if the don't have Settle the Wreckage of course)
is probably the best planeswalker we have access to. Starting at 7 loyalty and then letting us play gates untapped and casting our spells on curve for a couple turns really pushs this version ahead of gate decks in the past.
is great against any deck running The Elderspell making the best 2 mana planeswalker killer an absurd amount of mana.
Most of our other 3-4 drop walkers are for utility in certain matchs (Narset, Parter of the Veils v control, Teyo, the Shieldmage/The Wanderer for aggro and burn, Tamiyo against discard, etc.)
let's use have recurring proliferation for our uncommon walkers with no plus. Also, makes considerably better if you have even 1 planeswalker left.
is self explanitoy. It's just a great card draw engine.
and serve the same purpose in letting us survive against aggro decks and the like.
is great as we can grab any 2 planeswalkers we need for any situation. Opp has a Rekindling Phoenix well I'll just ignite the bacon grabbing The Wanderer and Sarkhan the Masterless. We'll talk more about these situations in the sideboard guide.
Now let's talk about the card that I think is being vastly underrated...

I've hit an 18/18 T5 dropping this and the swinging for 25 tample the very next turn. Aggro can't really deal with anythig this thicc. Sure,Spark Harvest is a great card and will definetly see play in those builds, but if you have a Kasmina online spark harvest will end up costing them an entire turn and a creature 99% of the time or if you have Saheeli when it comes down haste is an issue those decks can't deal with to well. Contol will obliterate your hydra though so counterspells in the sideboard are a great thing.
