Hi!
this is my first Pioneer deck. Actually.. it once was a standard deck to the time of the Theros block and it worked so god damn well that i thought i transform it into a pioneer deck to be able to play it again.
Why Selesnya?
The Most popular heroic based decks are Boros which makes sense when you look at cards like Feather, the Redeemed, Tenth District Legionnaire, Dreadhorde Arcanist, Coordinated Assault and other very strong heroic based cards.
But since im neither a big fan of Boros nor typical run-of-the-mine decks that everyone plays, i tried something different. So this deck was made.
How to win?
Getting creatures bigger and bigger with permanent +1/+1 counters (instead of boost them temporary with typical red effects like +3/+0 until end of turn) and overrun your opponent.
Keycards
my favourite cards in this deck are Reap What Is Sown that trigger up to 3 heroic effects and give them a +1/+1 counter, Bioshift which again trigger 2 heroic effects (for 1 Mana!!) and Fabled Hero who can be very op in this deck if you give him e.g. all the counters of a creature with Bioshift. Make him 10/10 and he oneshot your opponents.
+1/+1 Counter Production
Deeproot Champion (i also call him +1/+1 mashine) can get very many +1/+1 counters who again can be moved with Bioshift to Fabled Hero or Akroan Skyguard if the enemy dont have a flyer, and Phalanx Leader to spread the counters on your whole board what makes it stable against a deck with a lot target removals.
Control over the board
Favored Hoplite is a very strong 1 mana creature in both - attacking and blocking - who bring you through the first turns very easy. Akroan Skyguard for have something with flying in case that your opponent can easily block the Fabled Hero and to have a blocker against flying.
Card draw is everything!
Season of Growth is a very awesome card which trigger with nearly every spell you cast. First you scry with creatures, then you draw with your instants. Warriors' Lesson again triggers 2 heroic effects for 1 mana and let you draw up to 2 cards. Since its an instant you can easy choose the creatures who are not blocked.
Last but not least
With Gods Willing you have a little protection against creature removal + heroic trigger + scry 1 for only 1 mana. Banishing Light is for cards you rly need to get rid of like annoying enchantments, artifacts or whatever. Solidarity of Heroes is a very flexible card thanks to the strive effect. Imagine you have Fabled Hero with 3 +1/+1 counters. Imagine he get through without getting blocked: you cast this for 2 mana what triggers heroic (to 4 counters) and then doubles the counters to 8 what makes him a 10/10 with doublestrike - GG. Very awesome finisher.
Thats it! I tried to keep it very budget because i dont have that much money 😜
This is my 2. deck i introduce here and i hope you like it. SORRY for my bad english i never had it on school 😂 feel free to send me this Description with correct grammar.. i know i make a lot of mistakes XD
