This is the Human Tribal build.
This one is pretty straightforward human tribal. Overall, the LOTR set gave us some powerful humans to play alongside the many significant human payoffs.
The deck plays 30 creatures, and they're all humans. So, you're going to have no problem triggering things like Champion of the Parish, Thalia's Lieutenant, and Théoden, King of Rohan. And let me tell you, Théoden, King of Rohan is DISGUSTING in the deck and gives you some massive attacking power, especially with our secret weapon Riders of the Mark.
If you have a board of humans, you can cast this for a 7/4 with trample and haste for just one mana. And if Théoden, King of Rohan is one, oh boy! You can give it double strike and attack for 14 damage with trample. Furthermore, when you return it to your hand, you make some human tokens equal to its toughness. What's extra nasty about this is that you'll trigger any Champion of the Parish or Thalia's Lieutenant in play for each token.
Besides the cards we've covered, there are several other ways to pump your creatures. First, is Force of Virtue, which can be cast for free and take opponents off-guard. There are quite a few legendary creatures in the deck so don't be afraid to ditch redundant copies to Force of Virtue to cast it for free.
Then, we have Coppercoat Vanguard, which is highly aggressive and makes even your 1/1 tokens hard to deal with. And, of course, Ward 1 is going to make your opponent's lives very hard when trying to remove your stuff. In a similar vein, there are a few other cards that protect your army.
First, is Dauntless Bodyguard, which gives you an amazing out against board wipes. Secondly, (second secret weapon!) is a full four Shining Shoal. The card may seem weird, but it's a powerhouse. Not only does it protect your creatures but it's removal/burn for you. You can pitch a card from your hand, negate any damage coming toward your creature and send it at your opponent instead. Lastly, the three copies of Boromir, Warden of the Tower, help as well.
The deck is basically mono-white, but we do splash red. So, we have a full playset of both Cavern of Souls and Secluded Courtyard. Just name a human as these enter, and you're good to go. Plus, you won't be able to be stopped with counterspells easily thanks to Cavern. Still, we do have some w/r fetch and shock lands to make sure there is no issue casting anything.
