Historic - Ulamog's Trash OTK

MAIN COMBO conditions:

1) God-Pharaoh's Gift and Ulamog, the Defiler in graveyard.

2) Play Refurbish of Trash for Treasure to get God-Pharaoh's Gift on the battlefield.

3) Exile Ulamog, the Defiler with God-Pharaoh's Gift's triggered ability. An Ulamog token enters the field with 10 counters and haste.

Attack and OTK! GG! You win!

Earliest win on turn 3 with Trash for Treasure. It happens quite often. Turn 4 with Refurbish.

I tried all possible ways to abuse Ulamog, the Defiler: B/R , mono Red, Blue or Dimir deck with Reenact.

My conclusion is that Trash for Treasure in combination with God-Pharaoh's Gift is the most consistent and earliest way to win.

If you build it without any reactive cards or without other win cons, you'll get beaten easily. So here are my thoughts and solutions that make this deck the best it can get.

1) Artillery Enthusiast is a must: you can search for Trash for Treasure. But you can also search for an artifact land. You can

search for Failthless Looting, you can search for a Goblin Engineer... so many options.

2) Brass's Tunnel-Grinder. Searchable with Artillery Enthusiast, Goblin Engineer.

BIG draw card that often leads you to victory on turn 4. Try it, so underrated. 1 copy is enough.

3) Caldera Breaker, 2nd win con.

- Goblin Engineer can sacifice it.

- Thins out your deck, you don't need more than 4 lands anyways.

- Removal when it enters.

- Most of the time if Caldera dies, you'll get around 6 lands., You'll have like 10 lands on that turn, so lot's of possibilities to win.

- Don't forget about the Volcanic Geisers!

4) Treefold Thunderhulk: 3rd win con. A lot of decks can't handle him. If it enters cause of God-Pharaoh's Gift, you'll get after attacking a Thunderhulk 7/7 and 14 tokens!

5) Anger of the Gods and Cathartic Pyre are the only removal cards. But oh so important. Artillery Enthusiast can find those cards if needed.

Cathartic Pyre is versatile and therefore better than Cathartic Reunion.

Check the side deck.

Play this deck, it's a difficult deck to play. When should one chose for Caldera, Brass's Tunnel-Grinder of the main combo? Like I said before, the main combo isn't always the way to win.

I lost a lot of games because of misplays. Also i noticed many players have a lot of graveyard hate in their decks. Then it's wise not to play to fast so they won't fully understand what you're about to do. Remeber it's an OTK, you just need that one tiny opening to win.

Enjoy!
