Control Combo

After intensive testing, I refined the original version posted here some weeks ago. The core is almost unchanged, but somehow the small edits I've made are enough to give this archetype a completely different feel. I've managed to get up to a 66% winrate in ranked, for those interested, which isn't bad at all considering bo1 control decks start at a disadvantage (I went 21-11 to be exact).

First, I've removed Nulldrifter and Chromatic Orrery - Nulldrifter was just a wrong call and Orrery, despite being actually pretty good, was to exposed against removal: consider this, the Ring has indestructible, Lotus Field has hexproof, the Jewel costs 1 so it plays around counterspells almost always, and... Orrery costs 7.

Now, Those who read the previous description will surely know that without Nulldrifter there's no stalemate breaker anymore, but don't worry, more on that later.

This is what I replaced those cards with: first, the new Tamiyo. Tamiyo is INSANE. I think I've never seen a planeswalker ultimate so many times, and here it's just 1 copy! Ultimate aside, everything from clue generation to the other two loyalty abilities is exploited to its full potential anyways - the clues synergise with the Archway of Innovation + Tamiyo Meets the Story Circle plan, the +2 is cumulative with the aforementioned saga for a grand total of -3/-0 to each attacking creatures (which is amazing early on or against midrange as it can buy you an entire turn without needing to cast the Ring sequentially), and the -3 is great in combo with Pore Over the Pages.

Second, instead of having Aether Tradewinds main deck, that card is now in the sideboard together with Doppelganger and the new alternative wincon, Approach of the Second Sun. Fae of Wishes fetches those spells - even though there's a point for switching Fae with Invasion of Arcavios, so far I've not regretted my decision. Invasion works better with both Doppelganger and Timewalk, but Fae is cheaper and works better with Amulet, both before ad after transformation.

With Approach, now the deck has 4 official wincons: attacking, "milling" the opponent with Ancestral Recall + Narset's Reversal, milling again with Discontinuity + Narset on upkeep (after opponent draws a card), and of course casting Approach.

Doppelganger, on the other hand, works wonderfully with Archway of Innovation and the transformed Amulet. It can easily go mana positive even for values of X as low as 2. It's not the main objective, but not as winmore as one might imediately assume either, because this deck needs to always remain open with mana if opponent shows interaction, but needs to proceed with the plan anyway at the same time.

Last but definitely not least, Finale of Revelation. Currently it's just 1 copy but I'm seriously considering the idea of including 2 or more. I completely missed how stupidly broken that sorcery is with improvise, and it's even consistent with the "land untapping" plan of Vizier and Pore over the Pages. Discarding 5 cards with the saga's 2nd chapter on turn 4 and casting Finale it for X=10, effectively drawing 10 cards for free and getting a bonus emblem, almost acts as a 5th wincon. Good against mill, too, because opponents usually don't expect it.

That's pretty much it! Explore the remaining hidden synergies yourself, and enjoy!
