Control Combo

There we go, finally. MH3 is out and the Blue Ring-Lotus went up up a whole tier with it, thanks to Archway of Innovation, Tamiyo Meets the Story Circle and, most importantly, Consign to Memory.

The original version, before the Ring nerf, had roughly a 65% winrate over 120 games. But it had one big problem: you had to mulligan EXTREMELY aggressively in order to find a Lotus Field in your opening hand (usually, beginning with a 3 or 4 cards hand).

2 Stifle and 4 Consign to Memory represent a huge improvement, consistency wise, compared to just 4 Stifle, and as an added bonus you can use the replicate ability to counter Lotus twice if you're facing control and you're afraid of counterspells.

Tamiyo Meets the Story Circle here is PERFECT:

- 1st chaper: Fog effect, consistent with the Ring strategy and particularly good against Dreadhorde Arcanist (the creture's power is rechecked before the ability resolves)

- 2nd chaper: This is the big one. You don't necessarily need Lotus in opening hand anymore. This saga + Archway of Innovation is another perfectly viable opening, because you discard 2 cards, make 4 clues and cast the Ring for 2 mana (you'll get the cards back later, thanks to Enigma Jewel, once mana isn't a problem anymore)

- 3rd chapter: This one is sneaky. The old version relied on 2x Commit//Memory to shuffle the deck against mill, but it was pretty costly and gave the opponent too much advantage. Now you simply go infinite reshuffling just the cards you need with 4 copies of this saga. So, this is actually two birds with one stone: improved consistency in reshuffling and less junk reshuffled.

Nulldrifter replaces Aether Tradewinds, and it's mainly an experiment here: the reason why a stalemate breaker is so important is because against an opponent with the Ring effect, you can't win by attacking and not even with the Ancestral Recall + Narset Reversal "Draw your entire library" mill strategy. So originally, I used to take as many turns as necessary in order to bounce all opponent's lands and only then pass. Nulldrifer does basically the same, thanks to annihilator, except it also draws 2 cards, synergises with Consign to Memory / Stifle and it's a win condition.

Alternative way to mill the opponent: with a transformed Amulet, Discontinuity + Narset reversal on opponent's upkeep, right after they draw a card. As always, using the Amulet mana to cast Narset's Reversal makes sure Discontinuity isn't exiled, and both cards return to your hand after being copied, allowing you to go infinite.

That's pretty much it. I'll also brake Nadu in the following days btw (I mean, of course I'll do that duh - keep an eye on Symmetry sage...). Enjoy!
