COLORLESSFLUX

a combo deck

Highest Rank w/ Deck: Diamond 2

There are a TON of versions of this type of deck, so I suggest researching and finding out what you enjoy.

As for me, I've been spamming colorless TRON lately so I went with a full colorless version for today's deck because i've been working with the cards a lot as of late.

WIN CON

The main focus is to get Aetherflux Reservoir to proc and win the game
(This feels amazing to do! :] )

There are a bajilllion ways to do this but i've opted to go with the classic Paradox Engine + Very low CMC cards or cards that cost 0 to play, like Ornithopter and Mox Amber. Mystic Forge can be pretty rad too if you minus Karn, the Great Creator to grab it from the sideboard.

BASICS

Try to ramp as best you can with Palladium Myr, Guardian Idol, Hedron Archive, & Mind Stone

These cards offer mana, allow us to dig for needed cards, and act as attackers/blockers with activated abilities or Karn, the Great Creator's + ability

Once the deck gets going you basically get unfettered access to mana with Paradox Engine resetting all your mana source artifacts.

Use this to continue to play low / no cost spells in an effort to stack life and activate Aetherflux Reservoir . You can even pop off playing cards from topdeck akin to the old Experimental Frenzy mono red decks if you have Mystic Forge out (so much fun!)

SURVIVAL

Since this deck revolves around life gain to proc it's main win con I didn't really go too hard on removal or things similar to that because naturally you will survive a lot with all the life gain.
Regardless, you have things like Ratchet Bomb, Blast Zone, & Crawling Barrens to help out in a pinch or to possibly clear the board.

Also creatures like Crystalline Giant, Stonecoil Serpent, & Steel Overseer which each in their own right can spiral out of control very quickly for your opponent.

FINAL THOUGHTS / TIPS

This deck is like a tumble weed, if not dealt with it grows exponentially and eventually kills everyone. Ok maybe thats an exaggeration but you get my point. This deck was (kinda carefully) crafted by me to scale in every aspect and synergize well with a lot of different parts.

I've won games with no key pieces on the battlefield but my Crystalline Giant goes 4 turns unbothered and it's over for them with everything it had accumilated.

Tips:

  • Try to use Steel Overseer at the END of THEIR turn if possible to buff your dudes
  • Don't pull the trigger on Stonecoil Serpent too quick, try to stall a few turns for an even bigger creature ( also remember they have reach!!)
  • 'wasting' a turn to get something down that will give you more ramp for the next turn e.g Palladium Myr or Hedron Archive is almost always worth it  (judge for yourself but most of the time its a safe bet.)
  • Make sure you double check your Ratchet Bomb and Blast Zone charge amounts opposed to what you want to kill. Nobody wants to be the guy that miscounted.

Remember, this deck is far from perfect nor does it try to be. So HAVE FUN, change things, experiment, and if you find something cool don't hesitate to let me know about it. We all just want the deck to be the coolest it can be!

love yall
