The Deck

Ok neppyconica, you know who your spicy custom commander is and how we discussed building it. That said, here is a quick rundown of what the deck wants to be doing. In short, based on the commander, we want to pay shapeshifters, draw cards, and copy things. So, here's how we'll get that done.

The Shapeshifters

The shapeshifters (specifically, the changelings) play an essential role in the deck. Because they'll trigger a lot of cards that trigger for a particular creature type. First, let's look at them, and then we'll cover some of the payoffs.

The Payoffs

The commander is the biggest payoff here, but the ones I mentioned on Fiverr can also be huge. These work because the Changelings are every creature type. Reaper King is one of the best cards in the deck in this regard. I also included Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Panharmonicon, which can double up the triggers this thing gets.

Any card that has you choose a creature type, like Realmwalker, Bloodline Pretender, Morophon, the Boundless, or Secluded Courtyard, choose Scarecrow. All the changelings are Scarecrows, and naming them means you'll be able to hit Reaper King and a few other natural Scarecrows too. Here is a quick rundown of the payoffs for having every creature type. Many of these are wincons for the deck:

• Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - Dominates the board... Shrinks all opposing threats and boosts your crew
• Terror of the Peaks - Play creatures deal damage. They wanna remove it? Deal damage. It's a must-kill card.
• Patron Wizard - An absolutely putrid card when all shapeshifters count as Wizards. You'll love this once you try it
• Cloudshredder Sliver - Gives the underpowered shapeshifters a bit more attacking ability
• Beast Within
• Generous Gift
• Triumph of the Hordes - If you've got 10 damage on board, you've got lethal with this. Certainly something for other players to sweat
• Smothering Tithe - This should help you hang with the other decks
• Sliver Gravemother - The idea here is to reanimate your shapeshifters, making you more resilient and increasing your attack power. This can be cheated out with Morophon, the Boundless
