God's Wrath

This deck got me allmost to Diamond rank last season in a few days of ranked play. It's pretty easy collecting these cards and easy to play because it's all white.

The deck's name is based on all the life it generates and the amount of angels that can appear.

It's strong against a large range of decks, it's not super strong vs decks that discard your creatures or cards. (there can be exceptions if your lucky on the draws). It's easy to learn and hard to master. Lot's of decks use the same combo's or spells. Learn from them, cast your spells smart and break the combo's of your opponents. (General tips are at the end of this article)

This deck uses your lifepoints to block a lot. It starts out as most white and white/black decks, mechanic wise. Low mana cards will help generate lifepoints, with Ajani's Pridemate as an exception, he benefits from all the life. If your lucky you will get a Dawn of Hope and Fountain of Renewal combo early in the game. (you can draw cards with your spare mana and cast creatures with lifelink and boost Ajani's Pridemate with life every turn), Ajani's Pridemate combinations with low life generating creatures are nice as well and can even get you a early win.

Combo Example:

Late game you will rely on Angels to get the win advantage. 

Divine Visitation will suprise and overwhelm your opponent's, if your able to get a Leonin Warleader on the table on turn 4 that survives it to your next attack and are able to cast Divine Visitation in turn 5, 2 4/4 angels with haste will appear. So that's 12/12 plus the trash you threw on the table before that. You can destroy some lands: Memorial to Glory for extra token spawns and have Dawn of Hope to cast even more angels late in the game.

Combo Example:

Shalai, Voice of Plenty can protect your other angels and Lyra Dawnbringer makes the angels have lifelink.

Resplendent Angel likes to cast extra angel tokens by herself pretty often, not even having to attack, if your other creatures generate enough health. Try to keep her a live she has a real nice 6 mana boost wich gets her lifelink and 5 attack power so basicly an extra 4/4 angel token after an attack.

Benalish Marshal will give your creatures some extra power, History Benalia is a nice combo nice and keeps aggro decks away, early game and gives even more token's late game when combined with Divine Visitation.

Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants can get some of your early sniped creatures back, boosts your creatures and gets you even more tokens on the table.

Then you have some protection spells, make sure to use your Ixalan's Binding 's smart: Think a head, they block the spell from being played more (wich can be game winning against decks that use the same spells really often) you can use Detection Tower if it targets a permanent with hexproof. You can use Conclave Trubinal or Hieromancer's Cage if you don't have Ixalan's Binding yet. The disadvantage is that you can't prevent more of the same spells being cast. Conclave will be the best of the two choices because of convoke.

Sideboard should be filled with more protection spells against casters and discard decks (like Sheltering Light ) . Extra Shalai, Voice of Plenty is nice aswell cause it can prevent your other creatures from being sniped to fast. And more protection spells against artifacts, enchantments and planeswalkers.

Some tips and tricks against other decks:

General Tips:

Don't be affraid to use your life point's to block
Protect draw cards like Mentor of the Meek
Be carefull with Resplendent Angel she can win the game

VS white: Never attack with all your creatures when your opponent has 4 spare mana and cards left in their hand, they will use Settle the Wreckage often.

VS Blue counter decks: Play the most strong cards when your opponent doesn't have enough blue mana or cards to cast counters,  for  example. When you have 4 mana available, and your opponent has 2 mana left: First cast a Leonin vanguard and then Ajani's Pridemate if the first card get's countered you still have mana left to cast an even stronger spell. If possible try to get dawn of hope on the table fast, and just create a token army. Non of your spells will be countered and your opponent will start burning mana eventually.

VS Red caster decks: try to protect your draw spells: Mentor of the Meek and Dawn of Hope, most red decks have nothing vs enchantments so bind spell combo creatures, try to make sure they burn cards fast, they really don't like lifelink creatures and creatures with 5 plus defence. Mostly you will gain health pretty fast so don't block Risk Factor damage if they don't have enough spells to snipe your creatures anymore they usually just give up.

VS Black Discard deck: Save Ixalan's Binding for Ravenous Chupacabra and Planeswalker's with discard abilities like Vraska, Regal Gorgon , this decks isn't strong against full on discard decks but they allways have 4 of those Chupacabra's so one well placed binding can save your life.

VS Gate deck's: Try to get Ajani's Pridemate combinations on the table early and get some health, try to get as much damage done as possible before they wipe your creatures Again Ixalan's Binding is your best friend save it for Gatebreaker Ram and Gate Colossus
